'All the President's Men' (1976)* Robert Redford * …talking about the Washington Post reporters Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein: 'What they did was totally heroic. It was journalism as a path to the truth. You don't see much of that today. I was so proud and so happy to make a film that celebrates how important journalism is and how it proved itself by hard work. Hard, truthful work by these two lowly journalists was able to undermine the top level of the U.S.: the President.'

From Robert and Barbra’s ~ ‘Oprah Reunion Show’ 2010 ~Barbra: It’s funny because I wanted him in that part so badly and they were talking about other people because he had turned it down so many times. I was hoping and praying but it didn’t look good. Then I was in Africa making a movie and Sue Mengers, who I think was my agent or a friend of mine at the time, sends me a telegram that said “Barbra Redford” and I knew that he’d signed on.
